Club News
Record Books - If you plan to show at fair this year, you must submit a complete record book.  Start now to avoid a last-minute rush in July.  This year, record books will not be displayed or judged at county fair.  Instead, there will be a county-wide competition after state fair so the record books will reflect the entire 4-H year.  This link takes you to the site with the record books  Online 4-H Record Books
Presentations - You must also make a presentation to be eligible for fair.  So far, we've had some great presentations on everything from snowboarding to Joan of Arc.  Contact Dawn Rieger if you need to know more about presentations.
Community Service - Another eligibility requirement for fair is to perform service to the community.  The county does not ask for a minimum number of hours.  The club, however, has decided to ask each club member planning on going to county fair to provide 10 hours of service.  Report your hours to Dawn.
4-H Dress Code - The county office has supplied a guideline for proper attire at 4-H sponsored events.  Click this link for details.  This applies to all areas of 4-H, not just our club or equine events.

Meeting Minutes
Valerie & Blaze at the Rainbow Riders Show.  They went on to become King County Grand Champions in Hunt Seat Over Fences.
Education Poster- Each member needs to complete a poster.  They are judged by the county leaders and returned for use at county fair.  They are a prominent part of our county stall decorations.  This is another way that horseless riders can participate in county activities.  Posters that rate a Blue can also be taken to State Fair to be judged there.

Breyer Extravaganza - November
This annual event hosted by Reber Ranch is a favorite of our club members.  It's a fun atmosphere with plenty to do.  Some members showed their artistic side in the Paint-A-Horse contest, others participated in the model horse races, and some took advantage of the discounts on Breyer horses and the sale on Painted Ponies!  As usual the best crowd pleaser was the Parade of Breeds.  Real horses are brought in to show off some of the common and not-so-common breeds.  We'll be back next year!
Festival of Trees - December
This was a community service activity coordinated by Valerie.  Members had a opportunity to volunteer at a beautiful charity event for the Mary Bridge Childrens Hospital and Health Center.  They spent a 3 hour shift as Tree Hosts, Entry Greeters, etc.  Well done!
